Plan a uniform programme for consistent repeat orders

Organize size sets, shade references, approvals and delivery records so repeat uniform orders can be compared against the same specification.

For Uniform & institutional suppliers · Garment manufacturers & suppliers · Buying houses & sourcing agents

Define the programme rather than one sample

Record the wear environment, garment styles, colour-size quantities and delivery batches. Ask the buying team to confirm functional requirements and maintenance expectations. School, hospitality, healthcare and industrial garments can have very different needs; the label uniform does not establish any protective performance.

Approve a measurable reference

  • Keep a dated style and measurement specification with tolerances and size grading.
  • Identify the approved fabric, usable width, GSM, composition, shade and finish.
  • Record labels, logos, trims, decoration position and packing.
  • State any required test method and acceptance threshold in the agreed specification.
  • Keep approvals traceable to a sample/reference and revision.

Plan sizes and repeat shades

Build a quantity matrix by garment, colour, size and delivery. For an illustrative 300-piece programme split across three deliveries, preserve the approved size-colour totals and record any changed quantities before cutting. Reserve or identify relevant material lots where commercially agreed. A colour name alone is not a sufficient repeat-order shade reference.

Inspect against the same basis

StageRecord

During productionMeasurement/shade checks, defects, decisions and rework
DispatchAccepted quantities by size/colour, packing and batch references
Repeat orderPrevious approved revision, new quantities and confirmed changes

Separate specification from proof

A requested property is not a certified result. Protective or regulated applications require the specific evidence and requirements applicable to that order. Do not extend one fabric report or one lot's result to every supplied garment. Recheck material and garment suitability when construction, processing or use changes.

Apply the method to your own order.

Examples illustrate a method; they are not market quotations, supplier certifications or guarantees of commercial results. Confirm your own assumptions and the requirements of the specific order.
